The CM-589 is a compact, high performance Pentium class PC/104 Plus module for embedded and small footprint systems. A notable feature of the series is the operational temperature range and low power requirements of the module.

There are enough onboard resources that in many applications the CM-589 is the only module required. System resources include flat panel and CRT graphics interface and two USB ports.LCD kitsare available for the CM-589.

Flash disks are supported by an onboard DikOnChip socket or through the IDE interface providing the possibility an all-solid-state, bootable PC system. DRAM from 32MB to 128MB plugs into a SODIMM socket allowing powerful multi-tasking operating systems such as Linux and Qnx to execute on the CM-588.

Expansion is through a 32-bit system bus allowing systems builders to integrate powerful I/O peripherals.

Fan NOT Required
The 300MHz version module typically draws 7 watts from the 5 volt supply and the processor can operate over a temperature range of 0 to +80ºC. This allows heatsink only cooling, fans are not required.
