The TCDEV is a compact full-featured development platform for use with PC/104 compliant processor and I/O modules. Systems builders can surround the hardware stack with their favourite compilers and debuggers for quick application development.

With user-configurable jumper settings, the TCDEV's onboard VGA graphics, floppy and hard disk controllers can be individually selected for system inclusion, or disabled when these services are not needed or are implemented on the PC/104 stack. Standard PC connectors are fitted for serial communications, printer, keyboard and mouse.

An 8-LED diagnostic port can be jumper set to monitor one of four ports - Com1, Com2 or Lpt1 data ports, or port 80h, a diagnostic port used by the TC series of CPU modules for reporting the current BIOS boot position.

The latest series of TC processor modules has the BIOS and BIOS extensions in Flash, allowing easy implementation of different firmware options. Should the systems builder inadvertently overwrite the Flash BIOS, no worry, the TCDEV has the provision to reprogram the processor module's BIOS.

When not used for development purposes the TCDEV can function as a standard PC running word processing, spreadsheet and other PC activities.
